Nothing Left at Rescue Every Dog
RED ALERT URGENT PLEA FOR HELP: SHARE BECAUSE YOU CARE. So last night brought utter terror and devastation to RED and my family. One day you are providing love and care in a cute happy little world and then the world let’s you know about it’s power. One shot is of the front of the building the other is from what was our senior and hospice dog room and my office. I am having a hard time putting into words how devastating this is to all of us and to the special animals we save and rehab.
Tears have been shed and every volunteer and staff person is crushed that our wonderful kind world for the animals has been ripped apart. That be said not one person that saw this has not felt the enormous rush of how did everyone survive and feel a sense of miracle. I am beyond thankful that we did not lose any lives by mere inches. I want to thank the people who showed up today to help. We also sustained other damage to fencing and the list goes on.
To those that have donated and joined in to fuel this recovery effort with donation and words of support Thank You and our deepest gratitude. We desperately need donations of building materials for repairs and donations of money, or gift cards to Home Depot of any Lumber store. Is there a Lumber store that wants to help us and we need help rebuilding and making repairs and cleaning up. The debris field is pretty much everywhere. ;o(. Food donations for any animals. Please call or message us if you have a away to help. I have not slept in over 24 hours so I am going to update more tomorrow with a more itemized list of needs.
HERE’S THE ORIGINAL POST:
The severe windstorm that swept through Washington last night knocked over trees that destroyed the kennel and care facilities of Rescue Every Dog (R.E.D.) in Kingston, WA. Fortunately, none of the animals were hurt, but the facility is a total loss.
To make matters worse, R.E.D. has no power or water. It also lost many of the medications and supplies that were in the building.
Here is the plea for help R.E.D. posted on its Facebook page today:
“Last night’s storm devastated RESCUE EVERY DOG’s KENNEL and CARE FACILITY! First and foremost, all of the animals in our care survived with no injuries. Falling trees destroyed our kennel and care facilities. Currently we are without power and water and we are working on salvaging any medications and supplies that were in the building that was destroyed.”
We are a long standing non profit that has survived countless years on the generosity of our supporters. Today, more than ever, we are in urgent need of donations to help with the cleanup and put the pieces back together.
We will post pictures and provide an update ASAP. In the meantime, please help spread the word that we are in urgent need. The very survival of Rescue Every Dog depends on the donations we receive today.
This is an urgent plea for donations. Rescue Every Dog is a long standing 501C3 who relies solely on donations to do good works.”
Please Donate If You Can
