Fueled by the unparalleled growth of the technology sector and internet startups, Seattle is now considered the fastest growing city in the US. The Seattle Times reported that according to Seattle’s Office of Economic Development, the city added nearly 15,000 new jobs between 2012 and 2013. It also added nearly 18,000 residents during the same period.

Growth in the area around Seattle is also booming. King and Snohomish Counties added 45,000 jobs in the last year.

Due to the thousands of new residents streaming into the Seattle, new apartment buildings are popping up everywhere – analysts predict developers will add over 12,000 units in King and Snohomish counties in 2015.

Since Seattle has one of the country’s most pet friendly rental markets, many of the people moving here will bring their dogs with them or get a dog once they move here.
