A deputy in Forsyth County, Georgia sat in a hot car for 25 minutes to show how quickly the temperature can rise in a car during hot weather and threaten the lives of dogs and kids left inside.
While he was inside the car the temperature on the dashboard increase to 177 degrees and his heart rate doubled.

Meanwhile, and ironically, in this video police in Roswell, GA rescued dogs locked in a car on a day it was 97 degrees outside. The temperature inside the car was 150 degrees.
The video doesn’t show it but both dogs were rescued and their owner was charged with animal cruelty.
