Two Washington rescue groups saved some of the 103 dogs taken from a farm involved in the South Korean Meat Trade.
The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society in Wenatchee took seven dogs and will get two more soon, and the Benton-Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick took four.
The Humane Society International rescued the dogs. And they not only saved 103 lives. They also convinced the person who owned facility to shut it down, which means thousands of more live be saved.
These dogs won’t be available for adoption for awhile. They’ve never lived outside their cages and had no human contact, so they need time to heal and get some training.
Thank you to the Washington rescues who will give these dogs new lives.
Here’s a video from Humane Society International about the rescue:

I am looking for a companion dog. I would like a female that will grow to about 60 lbs. I am a senior and I use a wheelchair for outdoor walks, it is electric and perfect for dog walks. My dog will live with me in my sunny, airy apartment and we will go out for walks three times a day. I love the outdoors and live in a natural area with very few cars, surrounded by wonderful open hills. I am on a small income and have been assured that when I have my dog, I will have assistance with medical and other resources needed. I need a dog to love and share my life with. Please contact me and help me find and adopt a companion dog. ELizabeth

Hi Elizabeth – We don’t have dogs – we’re just a website – but I may be able to help you find one. Where do you live?
