A New Beginning for Seattle Humane Society
Congratulations to the Seattle Humane Society for the opening of their new $30 million facility. In the facilities first 10 years, Seattle Humane pledged the meet the following goals:
- Placing 100,000 dogs, cats, and critters with loving families
- Giving 200,000 pets medical care, access to advanced medical technology, equipment, and expertise
- Rescuing 25,000 additional pets from high-kill shelters and communities without shelters
- 80,000 pets in qualified-income households will receive spay and neuter services
- 20,000 additional pets from other shelters and rescues will received medical care
- 1,300 WSU students will receive high-quality, high-volume training
