Open Swim for Dogs!

One of the few good things about the end of summer is that some Seattle area pools allow dogs to take a plunge before they are drained and cleaned for the winter.

The Henry Moses Aquatic Center in Renton will have its annual Pooch Plunge on Saturday, September 16th and Sunday, September 17th.

The Center has 2 HUGE pools, a  9,000-square-foot leisure pool and a 3,300-square-foot, six-lane lap pool as well as a wave pool and a lazy river. Details:

  • 5 one-hour swim sessions on Saturday from 9 AM – 2 PM
  • 4 one-hour swim sessions on Sunday from 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Dogs must be registered for each session
  • Please note the number of dogs you will bring when you register
  • Each session is $10 per dog, and you can register for more than one session
  • No humans in pool – Dogs only!

The Arbor Heights Swim & Tennis Club opens its pool to dogs from Tuesday, September 19 through Saturday, September 23. Details:

  • September 19-22 from 5 PM – 7 PM
  • September 23 from 11 AM – 1 PM
  • $10 per day or $25 for the week
  • No humans in pool – Dogs only!

If you know of any other pools in the Seattle area that will be open to dogs please email me at info@seattledogspot.com and I’ll add them to the list.
