Family of puppy infected with parvo needs help paying vet bills

Last week I wrote about a puppy adopted from the dog rescue group K9 Northwest that died just a few days after she was diagnosed with parvo.

Oliver has been hospitalized with parvo since May 31. He contracted it from an infected puppy adopted from K9 Northwest dog rescue.

During the one day the puppy was with her family before she was hospitalized, she played with a 7-month-old Rottweiler named Oliver. During that brief playdate, she infected him with parvo.

Although they don’t have a ton of money, the couple that adopted Oliver is committed to saving him, and they’ve been paying for his care and treatment at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tacoma since May 31.

The couple is getting married next month, and one of their friends is trying to raise money to help them pay Oliver’s vet bills so the newlyweds won’t have a huge debt hanging over their heads.

If you’d like to make a contribution (think of it as a little wedding gift), go to their GoFundMe page and chip in a few bucks. They could use the help.

Thank you.
