Welcome to our off season. Bad weather happens, but i try not to let it stop us. Dangerous conditions, however, will cause me to cancel completely or change what we do. Please check in the morning of the event to see what is happening. Arm yourself for winter weather. Please keep your RSVP up to date – even if you are on the waiting list.
Ok, I, gratuitiously, stole this off another meet up site (Eastside Wednesday Walkers). Thank you, very much. I think i can figure this out, although, i haven’t done this before.
WARNING! the Tolt Pipeline Trail is hilly, but it is wide and easy footing.
We will walk westward along the Tolt Pipeline with an option to take a side trip through a network of forested trails in a community called Brooktrails Estates which traverses the Tolt Pipeline. Non-residents are allowed to walk on the trails.

Option 1: Rated “2 thumbs up” by previous walkers. 😉 We walk westward along the Tolt Pipeline and turn back at 168th Ave. About halfway back we leave the pipeline and take a detour through Brooktrails Estates. These trails are beautifully forested and many of the paths are covered with a thick layer of soft bark and pine needles and feel like a plush carpet. The detour returns us back to the pipeline about a quarter mile from the cars. The Brooktrails detour has 1 long, slightly steep hill and 2 steep but super short hills. Total distance is 4.5 miles.
Option 2: Walk westward along the Tolt Pipeline and turn back eastward at 168th Ave to the starting point without taking the side trip. (You are free to walk farther before turning back.) The Tolt Pipeline is entirely gravel with three hills. Total distance 3.2 miles.
Walk leader will be doing the Brooktrails Estates detour. If you are staying on the main pipeline route you will have no problem finding the parking lot. the Tolt Pipeline is hilly, but the trail is wide and easy footing.
