Looking for dog-related events or dog activities in the Seattle area? You’ve come to the right spot!
You won’t find a more comprehensive dog events calendar than this one. From dog adoption events to fundraisers, dog classes to support groups, and anything else we can dig up, you'll find it here, all in one place.
I reserved the group campsite at the Bridge Creek Campground in Leavenworth for the club. It’s right on the river.
Details are still being worked out but there will be a potluck meal one night (I will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, or the like – you bring a side dish, salad, drink, etc) and there will be at least 2 presentations on the weekend. Topics may include dog training, hiking with your dog, photography, pet safety, or similar.
We will also make at least one trip to town to hang out and walk through Riverfront Park (likely on Sunday).
YouDidWhatWithYourWiener.com is sponsoring (subsidizing) the cost of the campsite and the potluck meal but you will have to pay a nightly fee of $10 (can be paid in cash, check, or Venmo) for the number of nights you want to reserve.
There are 6 individual camp spots with picnic tables and fire rings and one large group area that would accommodate 2 vehicles and tents or 2 small RVs/Van/Trailer.
In regard to RVs/trailers, there is room for approximately 4 RVs/trailers total and they must be under 18 ft in length. These spots will be first-come-first-served so comment below if you want to claim one.
The rest of us will just park, and pitch our tents, where we can. You might have to share your campsite with someone else.
RULES:
— DRIVE SLOWLY when entering and exiting the group campsite. The access driveway passes several campsites that sit right along the road. Driving more than 5 mph will kick up a lot of dust for these people.
— Alcohol is allowed but must be used responsibly. Anyone visibly “wasted” will be asked to leave immediately.
— You must pick up after your pets
— As a Forest Service campground rule, pets must be on a leash or otherwise contained. For this group site, personally, I am ok with voice control (your dog stays in your sight and comes when called).
— Barking should be kept to a minimum. Although this is a group site away from non-Dachshund owners, please at least make an effort to not let your Dachshund bark excessively.
— Dogs are not allowed to chase or harass wildlife
If you have an event you’d like us to post, a suggestion on how we can make our calendar better, or any other question, please email us at info(at)seattledogspot.com. You can also complete our online event submission form. We look forward to hearing from you!
