North End Hikes and Walks with Dogs: Walk on Wednesday – Ballinger Park

Our days are getting long, so we will be varying our Wednesday walks. Check in each week to see where we will be meeting.
Also, in case of inclement weather, check this site to verify if this is still happening or has been cancelled. i tend to wait until late afternoon to decide as the weather often changes.
Ballinger Park is a 55 acre Park on the north and east shores of Lake Ballinger. This park houses a multipurpose sport complex, the Mickey Corso Community Clubhouse, a 42 acre natural park area and a boat launch. The sports complex consists of a full length multipurpose sports field used for baseball, softball and soccer.
A big loop of the golf course back and front nines is about a mile, we sometimes add on a bit of the Interurban trail, accessed from the backside of the golfcourse.
This park can be wet and swampy in places if there have been days of preceding rain. Plan your footwear accordingly.
Plan on 2-3 miles, and about an hour to an hour and a half walking time.
As always, dogs on leash, scoop the poop, unvaccinated humans should wear a mask.
