Welcome to spring season. Rain happens, but i try not to let it stop us. High winds or torrential rain, however, will cause me to cancel completely or change what we do. Please check in the morning of the event to see what is happening. Arm yourself for seasonal weather swings. Please keep your RSVP up to date – even if you are on the waiting list.

VOLUNTEER PARK – A large, wooded park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. With a historic watertower, the Asian Art Museum and the Volunteer Park Conservatory here, there is plenty to see here on your walk.
Volunteer Park is a Seattle landmark, popular with neighborhood residents and visitors for running, walking, taking your dog for a walk or simply enjoying the sun on a nice day. A small playground area on the north end of the park near the Conservatory is fun for kids.
There are multiple access points, and one large parking area in front of the Asian Art Museum.

INTERLAKEN PARK – is an oddly-shaped, hilly, forested park at the northern end of Seattle’s Capitol Hill. It is fairly close to Volunteer Park and the Asian Art Museum and, in the opposite direction, to the Washington Park Arboretum. So a visit here can be combined with a visit to any of these other attractions.

Distance: 3.5-4 miles
Elev. Gain : 324 ft
Path Type: variety (paved, dirt)
