Who wants to come and do a loop of Carkeek Park. There will be ups and downs on dirt trails. I plan on completing both the south and the north ridge trails, which makes for a 3 plus mile round trip hike. You are welcome to come and do the first ridge and then do the piper creek trail back to your car.(not cutting off a lot of mileage, but excluding one set of up and down.)
Dogs on leash and scoop the poop.
Unvaccinated humans, please mask up.
This popular park offers extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Explore the secrets of this northwest Seattle watershed, nine miles from downtown. Here, 220 acres of lush forest, meadows, wetlands, creeks, and beach are formed by the magic of water and time. Come take part in an education program, have a picnic, or get involved as a volunteer teacher or as part of an outdoor work party. Walk the Pipers Canyon Story Trail, play on the uniquely salmon themed play area, or touch time at the historic Piper Orchard.

We will be starting at the Piper Creek Trailhead, behind QFC. The trailhead parking is limited, so you can park on the street or in the back QFC lot and walk across.
