Anytime of the year is a good time to hike Camano Island. We usually do a hike of the upper forest and then head down to the beach. Plan on 3-4 miles of varied terrain.
Dogs allowed on leash.
Poop must be scooped and appropriately trashed.
Wear proper footwear for hiking and bring snacks and water for yourself and your dogs.
Don’t forget, a Discover Pass is required for parking in a State Park.
Close to Seattle but a world away, Camano Island State Park offers a mellow, less bustling, but equally friendly alternative to its busier neighbor, Cama Beach State Park.
Forest loop trails provide cool, tranquil hiking, while shoreline strolls offer birding, shell and rock exploration and sweeping views of Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier.
