KING 5 Evening recently interviewed a man named Nik Glaser who recently moved to Seattle about how he used social media to find Kramer, a 6-year-old golden doodle that was also Nik’s service dog. He
disappeared just before Nik was scheduled to move to Seattle.
In addition to posting on Craigslist and putting up posters, he:
- Started a Facebook page —Bring Kramer Home–and a Twitter page asking celebrities to help spread the word.
- Founded a go fund me page to increase his $2000 reward to $10,000
- Attracted 9000 followers to his Instagram page Everybody Loves Kramer
Eventually he even got help from Perez Hilton and actress Denise Richards.
He estimated that 70-100,000 people saw his posts, and not long after moving to Seattle, someone contacted him to say Kramer was at a shelter in Los Angeles.
This is just another innovative example of how people are using social media to find their lost dogs.
