The Washington State Animal Response Team (WASART) will hold 2 classes next Saturday to teach dog owners how to wrap their dog’s paws if it is injured while you hike or camp.
When many of us take our dogs on hikes, we rarely give much thought about what we will do if it injures a paw and can’t walk. In this class you’ll learn how to bandage these injuries so you can make it back down a trail without having to carry your dog.
WASART is an all volunteer organization that “rescues pets and livestock in emergency situations.” If you take your dog on adventures in remote places, this class is a great opportunity to learn from experts how to treat/wrap a paw injury when no veterinarians or vet hospitals are nearby.
The classes will be from 9 AM – 10 AM and 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM on July 30 at the Renton Community Center. Each session is $20.
