Some people love them. Some people don’t. But regardless of how you feel about the Blue Angels, one thing dog owners can agree on is that the deafening noise they make can scare the bejeezus out of your dog.
Please be sure your noise-sensitive dogs are inside if you live near in or near downtown Seattle or the Eastside (especially Bellevue, Issaquah, and Kirkland) as they could bolt when the jets fly overhead.
Leaving them in a fenced yard could also be a problem – you’d be surprised how high a scared dog can jump.
And if you walk you dog while the jets are flying you might want to walk it another time or keep a tight grip on its leash.
The Blue Angels will have practice runs this Thursday and perform Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Here’s their schedule:
Thursday, Aug. 3: 9:45 AM – 12:15 PM; 1- 2:40 PM (Practices)
Friday, Aug. 4: 12:55 – 2:40 PM (Seafair Air Show)
Saturday, Aug. 5: 12:55 – 2:40 PM (Seafair Air Show)
Sunday, Aug. 6: 12:55 – 2:40 PM (Seafair Air Show)
