Orting man accused of attacking neighbor's dog with a hatchet

Yesterday, KOMO News reported that an Orting, WA man named Ricky Lee Knowles attacked his neighbor's dog with a hatchet. 

Before I go further, I'm happy to report that the dog, a Golden Retriever named Kona is expected to survive the attack in which she received a fractured skull, a broken jaw, and numerous lacerations.
