So heartwarming! I am linking this in my nightly news roundup at theygaveusarepublic.com. How could I not? I am owned by a dog, and I would be worried sick about him if he was missing after a tragedy like that.

They (The Humane Society of SW Washington) say I can not volunteer my time as I do not have health insurance. So I try to post dogs from thier shelter on my facebook page to let people know these dogs need someone. If I spent less money on helping dogs in all parts of this country, I could probably afford health insurance :)

great photo! my buddy "ranger" a pit bull/rottweiler mix was raised from a puppy, napping in my lap while i sat at my computer or lying on the couch watching t.v. he's too big for that now, but he still lies by my chair keeping me company. both "ranger" and i are happy to see the old man in japan re-united with his dog.
