Spending big on their dogs

Seattle DogSpot recently commissioned a survey of online visitors to our Facebook page. What we learned: They are dream customers for any pet-related or pet-friendly business in the Seattle area!

 

They’re affluent, educated women:

  • 87% are female
  • 80% are between the ages of 25-54
  • 60% have a household income of $50,000+
  • 86% have completed at least some college

 

They love their dogs:

  • 48% have 2 or more dogs in their household
  • 64% spend $50+ on dog food per month
  • 76% spent $50+ on dog products and supplies in the past year
  • 54% take their dog for grooming/washing at least once per year
  • 38% take their dog to the vet at least 3 times per year
  • 25% took their dog to daycare/boarding in the past month
  • 68% take their dog to dog-friendly restaurants/bars at least a few times per year
  • 52% spend 1+ hours each month searching online for dog information
